Sept. 21, 2011
Studio, Errands, Lunch date
There are a couple points I want to touch on with outfit, so let’s just start at the top, shall we? This hat was the first thing I saw when I walked into the J.Crew on Michigan Avenue. I put it on my head and decided it was done - I wasn’t leaving the store without the hat. It’s funky and fun and I love throwing on a hat on weekend mornings when I roll straight from bed to brunch. And you know I’m crazy for a good cat print.
The pants are a departure for me. I wanted them in bright dahlia, but tried on the camel color for size and I loved the way they looked. Another item I didn’t want to take off, which I take as a sign. If you want to wear it out of the store - buy it. I don’t think the pictures here do them justice - but some things just photograph better than others.
Overall, this look is a lot more menswear than I usually go for, but I’m in the mood to experiment with my style this fall… and I’m having a hell of a good time doing it!
