Lumberjack Plaids, Lumberjill, shop the trend, what i wore, winter outfits

WhatIWore: While the winter months often get a bad rap for overcast skies and freezing temps, I’m actually looking forward to January through March this year.  How come? I have a family vacation to a cabin rental planned in February and big plans to hit snowy hiking trails (if we ever get any snow in these parts).  And in true What I Wore fashion, I’m planning my outfit.  I love buffalo plaids along with red and black plaids and the accessories that go along with them.  Consider it a bonus that many retailers are making room for spring arrivals, so many of these items are going on sale.

Here are my favorite pieces  to keep you bundled up for the lodge, the trail or simply just to get the lumberjack look.

  1. Maine Guide Wool Parka, L.L. Bean
  2. Alaskan Guide Plaid Shirt, Filson
  3. Be Optimistic Badge, Best Made Co.
  4. Dorado Lug Riding Boot, Frye
  5. Downeaster Wool Sport Bag, L.L. Bean Signature
  6. Buffalo Plaid Scarf, L.L. Bean
  7. Rabbit Fur Lined Leather Bomber Hat, L.L. Bean
  8. Plaid Wool Vest, Filson
  9. Round Be Optimistic Badge, Best Made Co.
  10. Red Wool Blanket, Best Made Co.
