Why:  
For the week between Christmas and New Years, I did a lot of hanging out and not a lot of getting dressed up or going out.  By Wednesday I was ready to play around in my closet and wore this for a little lunch date with Adam and later to watch the IU game with friends.

This is a great example of an outfit that mixes core basics (jacket, chambray, jeans) with trendier add on pieces (vest and shoes). Just a little pop of color or a new pattern (or shape - like the vest) can revive your classic standbys. Oh! And I finally fixed this old pair of sunglasses, which I totally love.
