Why:
Once upon a time I decided that I MUST have maroon pants. Like, a week ago.  I also made a great discovery! J.Crew talls usually have more colors instock than the regular lengths. Hence, these cafe capris look a little more like short pants. Whatever! I can cuff them up even more if I want to bare my ankle or just wear the the way they are. I like ‘em! A lot! 

They also give me a great reason to wear two items you haven’t seen on What I Wore yet - my new scarf and a pair of shoes I bought a month or so ago.  My dad got my mom a Theodora and Callum scarf for Christmas which put a little kernal in the back of my mind. When I saw it almost half off on Gilt Groupe, I just jumped at it!  

As for the shoes, I think this toe shape and silhouette are going to be big in the coming seasons, and while I normally don’t shell out that much for shoes, I felt like these were a good investment (they were also on sale!). I’ll pair them with matching tights next time I wear ‘em!
