Why:
As much as I love remixing and integrating new (or new-to-me) pieces into my closet, there’s something really fun about wearing a head-to-toe new outfit.  It reminds me of the first day back to school.  I used to spend so much time planning out what I would wear the next day/week and went as far as to write down every single outfit (Junior and Senior year) in my daily planner. And I also had Monday-Friday labels taped in my closet to hang outfits. Crazy, right? And now 3.5 years of the (almost) daily outfit photos. Yikes!

As for the actual ensemble - my friends and I have been eyeing this gingham check blouse from J. Crew for a while now. When I got to the store, the women’s selection had totally sold out, so I opted for a men’s extra small (again, not buttoning those two bottom buttons). I like it!! I’m pretty sure this is the kind of season-less piece that I’ll be wearing for years to come (and the men’s version was a couple bones cheaper too!)

The jeans are a pair I picked up from Gilt and they are so long! This never happens to me!! I must be 6’2” in these shoes! I really like the wide leg and how they fall to the floor.

And finally, to dress it all up… the sparkly DIY from yesterday and a new bracelet.
