WhatIWore: I haven’t been more excited for a conference in my entire life! Today I’m en route to Salt Lake City for the Altitude Design Summit and I can’t wait! I spent all day yesterday packing and also put together this virtual outfit with my ideas for what make a perfect conference ensemble. 

As with any networking event, you’re going to be overwhelmed with names and faces. I’ve always taken the path of wearing something really bold in hopes that someone leaves thinking “I remember Jessica and her crazy pink bag!”

Here’s my breakdown for this outfit:

Diane von Furstenburg Scarf, ShopBop - Should your primo seat in the audience be right in the middle of a drafty cold spot, you’ll be happy you brought a big ol’ scarf to warm up. When in doubt, dress in layers.

Timex Watch, Nordstrom - Don’t miss the Keynote, girl! Keep right on time with this glossy rainbow watch. J’adore.

Sprinkles iPhone Case, kate spade new york - In a sea of iPhones, keep yours straight should they all be set down in a similar spot.

Tote Bag, Marc by Marc Jacobs - I don’t know what it is about the little girl on the side of this bag, but me thinks she’s good at making friends. Also awesome at holding your extra pair of flats, biz cards, lap top, etc. 

Striped Sweater Dress, Anthropologie  - We’re saving the best for last and when I say best, I mean the kind of dress that’s stylish but comfortable for an entire day of listening, note taking, networking and maybe spilling cocktail sauce on yourself. No?
