WhatIWore: Not only did Pantone named Tangerine color of the year, we saw loads of head to toe orange looks on the runway for Spring 2012 (like this look from Milly). If you don’t already have this citrusy bright shade in your closet, perhaps now is the time to bring this runway look to reality? Above: Jacket and Tank

YOU CAN DO HEAD TO DO COLOR!!

The sweater and skirt shown below are both from J.Crew. When you’re doing bold matching top and bottom… I like ‘em to actually match (or be the same hue). I love the No. 2 pencil skirt, but I found my red skirt at Goodwill (and later hemmed it). 

If you’re looking to break up the color a little, I’d suggest a statement necklace and a camel blazer. I also prefer pairing red with cognac or nude shoes instead of black.
