Why: This outfit looks a little different in my mind’s eye than it does in these photos. What a wrinkled mess! And this was from sitting in the car for less than 5 minutes between my home and the office. Verdict: This skirt has the worst fabric ever and most easily wrinkled. Don’t buy it.
Truth be told I don’t mind light creases from normal wear. In fact, I actually like them (real people/clothes trump steamed and styled photo shoots for me)… but if I could do it over again I would have bought a different skirt. Speaking of real vs. styled… do you ever feel like the blogs you read are a little too perfect? At blog conferences there’s a lot of talk about only posting the very best content - and I agree with that to some extent, but I think bloggers also owe it to… reality?… to share their imperfections once and a while too. I’m going a little further than wrinkles here, but this has been a topic I’ve seen pop up a lot lately among bloggers and readers alike. What do you think? Do you want the good/great/amazing posts only? Or do you want to read about a blogger’s hard/crappy/no good day too? I’d love to hear your point of view on my facebook page.
Now- back to the wrinkles. Does anyone else have a skirt in a similar fabrication? I’m wondering if a wash and dry with a couple softening dryer sheets might help. Tweet @whatiwore and let me know!
Finally, because I’m working on focusing on the positive, one thing I DO like about this outfit is the color combination. Red + Blue were made for summertime!!
