Why:
Although I had a full roster of costume ideas in my back pocket, I didn’t feel like wearing any of the was a big enough challenge (I did do an associate’s degree Costume Construction afterall!), so after a day at IKEA with Adam, I sat in bed, unable to nap and thought - Saloon Dancer! So easy too!!! That Betsey Johnson dress just keeps going and going and going! I haven’t ever worn the corset before (outside of modeling our own designs in class some 5 years ago), so I was really happy to put it on. I cut off some of the black ribbon laced up the back for my choker.
Also notice my attempt at a Gibson Girl hairdo. Hairspray, wut?
For Adam’s costume, he just wore a suit, top hat and I powdered his hair and did some dark under eye shadows and a little ‘stache. He brought his own pipe and would say on cue “I drink your milkshake!”
It was warm out and fun and we were back home by 10:30. It was a Happy Halloween.
Also note, my tights were kept under wraps after this photo! Don’t worry, no slutty Halloween for me! Whatever, you guys have seen my legs before.
