Morning errands with Adam (I rode a BICYCLE in this outfit!)
Why:
This time change thing is working in my favor! I seem to be getting up early, yet feel well rested and ready to go. I wanted to make the most of Monday, so I popped in the shower first thing, got ready and asked Adam if he wanted to go on a walk. He suggested a bike ride and zoom zoom, off we went… just to the bank and the grocery and then a little coffee and donuts breakfast.
And riding bikes all over our new neighborhood is a reminder that Park Slope is more like Park Mountain on two wheels. Going down = TOTALLY FUN! Going back up? After my morning ride and then going to Beacon’s in the afternoon, I definitely got a work out in.
Let’s talk about this ensemble - It started with the tights… I knew I would pair them with the coat and wanted a simple dress underneath. I tied the scarf in a way that reminded me of Betty Draper (my other Monday morning ritual is downloading and watching Mad Men because I live sans TV).
I love using a color other than black or brown as a neutral. Navy, camel, dark purple and burgundy are great bases (and great choices for shoes and bags too!)
I feel a little like Amelia Earhart in this one…. but I like it!
