WhatIWore:  When I was in college, I bought a ream of computer paper and every night would fill it front and back with illustrations and croquis as practice.  I used 9 Heads as my guide (it was assigned to us as a textbook) and I couldn’t pick a better recommendation for anyone wanting to learn fashion illustration. (Fashion illustrations are typically drawn taller, with 9 heads as the height instead of 8 like a regular human proportion.)

I’ve always been an artist, but I loved this book because it helped me explore new poses, textures and details that I hadn’t worked on before. It’s definitely an investment, but it’s a wonderful book for all aspiring artists, illustrators and fashion designers.

If any of you have recs on other illustration books, please leave us some links in the comments!
