Why: As much as I love remixing my closet, I also love the thrill of wearing a completely new outfit. It reminds me of all the time I spent planning outfits as a teenager. One year, I printed out and taped up Monday-Friday on one side of my closet and would hang up what to wear each day.  

I caught my reflection on my morning coffee run and I thought to myself “I look good!” more importantly, I felt great. I can be very self conscious of my appearance, but today… today is working for me.  I’ve got a little pep in my step today thanks to my new ensemble! 

These are some of the new items I picked up for fall - a yellow pencil skirt, dark denim jacket and cobalt striped Breton tee. I have so many ideas on how I’m going to wear them differently when things cool down.  I can’t remember if it was Jen or Kendi who inspired me to get a yellow skirt like this, but I’m so glad J.Crew came out with this color for fall (and it’s on sale right now!)
