Why: I am so into the varsity jackets that are popular this season and I’ve been waiting for a cool day to wear my sweater from Madewell. (Also working up the courage to wear my middle school letter jacket! It’s red, white and navy.) It feels a little strange to wear something so sporty and have it not be in my school colors, but I think it’s neutral enough that I can pair it with some red jeans for a Hoosier tailgate one of these Saturdays. This time around I went for purple for the perfect casual Friday outfit. You might not suspect that purple gets a lot of wear, but these are an awesome go-to alternative for jeans.

*** Quick note on the sweater - I bought a medium which is my usual size, but ended up pinning up the back a bit and rolling up the sleeves. I think I’d prefer a slimmer fit and would have sized down if I bought in store!
