WhatIWore: Its a sad story and most of you have lived to tell it. You have a favorite thrift/vintage store. Its so cheap and so great that you vow to never tell a soul about it. Your little secret. And then, one day, you noticed some soaped out windows and a For Lease sign on the door! What?! No!! It can’t be true?!

I saw my two favorite vintage stores in Indiana close in 2009. What’s the point of keeping a good spot a secret if the store goes out of business? The more shoppers, the more new stock, the better for all of us! Keep Brick and Mortar Vintage and Thrift stores alive!!

I get e-mails on a daily basis like “have you ever been thrift shopping in Chicago?” “where should I visit in Brooklyn?” “do you know any stores in Nashville?

The solution? Adam and I have put together a little site called Vintage Where? It’s by state (and sometimes city) and a resource for thrifters/vintage shoppers all over the country.

And we need your help! Please check out your state and list just ONE shop in your area. (Check it out and see if we’ve listed your store! I’m still working on over 175 entries (about 200 done so far!)

We’re also going to develop a HUGE online directory… coming soon!

Please spread the word on your own sites as well!!
