When: October 25, 2012
Where: Studio, Lunch Date/Photo shoot
Why: When I was getting ready this morning I felt very “old Jessica”, which is to say that this is how I felt back in the early days of What I Wore, when I was wearing a lot of colorful prints and vintage. Of course I feel like the old days… I accidentally recreated this outfit down to the dark denim and circle sunnies. It’s also the time in my life when I was so very happy - I had just met Adam and shortly after left my design job to concentrate on What I Wore. So much promise and opportunity! And so much fun.
I really really like this outfit. I’ve been getting into a habit of updating my basics lately and have gotten away from colorful prints. When I saw this blouse, I just went for it! I removed the collar (it was purposefully detachable) and layered on a big statement bubble necklace. And it’s a small victory, but I fit into these jeans again! I’ve been doing bootcamp for about 3 months and have really toned up and trimmed off a couple pounds. I feel so strong, but the secondary benefit is that some of my smaller jeans are back in rotation. Yay! I want to get an “after” photo in my gym clothes to share with you sometime soon - there’s a big difference with the before. I LOVE bootcamp.
