Why: Over the weekend, my amazing husband decided to re-do my walk in closet. Long story short - it was used as a second floor efficiency kitchen for renters in the 1950s and had a kitchen sink and cabinet on one wall. He removed that, refinished the oak floors, painted and put up shelves and hooks. I’ll take and post photos soon! I had so much fun yesterday putting everything back in and this morning I felt like I was shopping in the tiniest little boutique.
That’s how I gave this vibrant yellow coat a second look! (Here’s how I wore it for a Mad Men shoot in 2009 with Jamie Beck.) Paired with my mod little Milly dress, it feels so fresh, but still weather appropriate (it’s a weird 50 something degrees here today and last night we were in the basement for an hour because of a TAKE SHELTER NOW Tornado Warning).
To add to the mod look, I wore my dress over a turtleneck, with black tights and boots and finally have a chance to wear this little wool cap.
