Why:
I made this dress a couple weekends ago when Adam was in New York and I was visiting my parents in Northern Indiana and have been saving it for the perfect spring day! And today is it!  The pattern is from the “Project Runway” series from Simplicity, but I picked it up a) because it was on sale for $1 and b) because it has decidedly vintage lines.  When I saw this fun fabric, I thought it perfectly complimented the retro silhouette and this is the result!  With my bubbly bob, I totally feel like a 1963 Barbie!!

One thing I notice about myself when I’m wearing vintage silhouettes is that I have much better posture and feel so much more ladylike.  Do skirts and dresses do the same thing for you?
