Why: First off - sorry for the radio silence over the past few days. I was hit hard with a nasty cold and have been stuck indoors and in bed. Luckily I have these photos from earlier in the week!
I’ve been working on making a cobalt blue skirt for the past couple of weeks. My first attempt was with a fabric that was way to stretchy for the pattern. Next I used a twill with a slight stretch and it didn’t work either. Frustrated, I looked to my own closet and my favorite skirt and then made a pattern on my own from that… and this is the final result! It’s so simple, but I can’t wait to bang this out in lots of different colors and patterns. It only too a few hours to sew and I’m so happy with the result! Next time I’ll add a slip (I didn’t line it), so it flows a little easier.
Cobalt is, without a doubt, one of my top colors for spring - but it still looks great for winter. I have a feeling I’ll be pairing it with this camel colored jacket a lot this season!
I’ve also gotten a lot of good out of this black and blue striped turtleneck (one, two, three, four)
