WhatIWore: This week marked the opening of Bloomington’s newest vintage/thrift store - Vintage Vogue by GW. The GW of the mix is the Goodwill of Central Indiana, which has been sorting out the cream of the crop from their Bloomington and surrounding area stores to create a thrifter’s dream.
The store is nestled into a quaint alley off Kirkwood Avenue, right next to the Chipotle. Look for the cute chalkboard on the south side of the street for your entrance cues.

Like a lot of regular Goodwill stores, the merchandise is sorted by type (tops/pants/dresses) and by color. It’s primarily women’s clothing, but there’s also a good dose of men’s apparel as well. But for me, the real jackpot was with the home goods. Tons of funky vintage lamps, dishes, old cameras (which look great in bookshelf displays) and artwork.

I went home with a vintage Vogue (the magazine) poster, two 60s style glasses and some beautiful cocktail plates (milky white with gold edges!) as well as a navy blazer and vintage embroidered raffia bag. You’ll see those piece pop up here on What I Wore and on That’s Quirky in the upcoming weeks!

Whether you live in Bloomington or are just in town for a visit, definitely stop by Vintage Vogue.
