When: June 13, 2013
Where: Studio and Thursday BBQ Lunch!
Why: I’ve been collecting baseball tees for the past few years, but they rarely make it onto the blog (although you can see a few here and here). I think they look really cute with a pair of cut off jean shorts and a straw hat while gardening, but I rarely if ever take photos of those get ups. Today I thought it would be fun to try something a little different and partner up my faded neon yellow and white baseball tee with a full, floral skirt and a pretty statement necklace.
A lot of my favorite outfits on What I Wore are the result of mixing and matching of opposites: leather and chiffon, sequins and denim, stripes and dots, and in this case, something sporty and glam. I really like how it came together!
I bought the fabric for this skirt after seeing this French Connection skirt and thinking - I could make that (more on this tomorrow). I actually started by making this dress, didn’t like the scale of the floral with the pattern and salvaged it into this skirt.
Do you use the opposites attract philosophy in your closet?
