Where: Business Breakfast, Studio, Lunch Meeting
Why: Last night while cutting out a new dress to stitch up, I thought how cool it would be to do an entire week on What I Wore of all home made and DIY projects. I’d like to debut all new projects during that week, but for now, here’s a hat-dress-bracelet combination of things I’ve made myself!
I’m really into caps this season (I also made a denim baseball hat recently!) This style has a different vibe from my normal summer cloche or fedora and it’s so unique! (Here’s the first time I wore it) I really like this straw and I’m working on a fedora in it now!
This little dress is one of the first sewing projects of the summer season in a cute little beetle bug print. I love shopping for fabrics in the novelty and kids sections and the end result is so quirky. I love a simple dress like this with an interesting detail (like the back cut out) on a super hot and humid summer day.
The coin charm bracelet is something I wear almost everyday. It’s made from coins I’ve collected from around the world (Iceland, UK, Euros, Hong Kong, and Mexico) and I made it as a dad and daughter DIY. See the tutorial here!
I’d love to hear from those of you who are DIYers-Sewers-Makers and see your projects! Please share your links on the What I Wore facebook page!
