Le marché, picnic lunch, Luxembourg Gardens, ice creme, walking, walking, walking
Saturday was May Day in Europe (fête du Travail) which is similar to Labor Day in the States. The majority of businesses are closed (we seemed to find a lot of open places tho!) Vendors sell Lily of the Valley for a euro or two on the streets and it’s a wonderful scene. Major sites were closed, but all of the gardens and grounds open. We walked for miles that day, so I’m glad I went with a low key outfit. Spring time vacationers: layer! I was never too cold or too hot thanks to my cardigan and trench. Another note - I also did not carry a purse for most of the trip, thanks to the deep pockets in my jacket. At most times I carried a map, flip cam, point and shoot camera, wallet and phrase book. It definitely let me enjoy things more without worrying about a bag.
This is my last outfit photo from Paris, but I will be posting my packing list soon! I know a lot of you are going on vacation soon!
