Belt: Vintage, Beacon’s Closet
Caramel Leather Jacket: Tracy Reese
Black Booties: Rag and Bone
Why: Ever since I began my adult wardrobe after college, I’ve been carefully investing when I could afford it to add really great, year in, year out pieces. I think these boots are going to be one of those items. No doubt about it, they were a significant part of my fall budget, but after reading so many positive reviews, I went for them. And to be completely honest, I feel like a ‘cool girl’ (technical description) wearing them. It’s WAY too hot to wear them with pants right now, so I needed to go for something I could layer in the cooler morning hours and then take off by lunch at mid day.
This dress has been in my closet for a long time. It’s vintage, but not precious, historical type vintage. When I bought it, the length was too long and pretty dowdy, so I chopped it off (something I’m not afraid of at all!) Now it feels like it could be vintage or straight out of TopShop and I love that! I even got a little rebellious and let my slip show at the hem! (Half of you are wondering what the hell a slip is and the other half of you are wagging your finger at me for not being lady like!)
Long story short, I really like this look! It’s edgy, but easy at the same time. How do you take two opposites and blend them together? Share and link on my facebook page!
