Ya know, I really like to dress up. I also really like to dress down. Somehow this little job I’ve created for myself as a personal style blogger warrants that I show you more of the dress up than the dress down. At least that seems to be what gets more “likes” or comments.
When I tell new acquaintances about what I do, they almost always ask “do you ever take a day off? Do you ever just wear your pajamas all day?" Although I don’t leave the house in PJs, I most definitely have days when I just wanna focus on living life instead of picking out an outfit you’ve never seen before. While I believe that clothing is important, and can have a powerful effect on our moods, I also think it’s important for you to know that I don’t get dressed up everyday. Does that mean I don’t put a little thought into my day off looks? No way!
For my lifestyle, it’s just as important to leave the house feeling great about myself in jeans and a tee as it is in a cocktail dress. I love the hell out of my jeans, for example. In the near year since I’ve moved back to Indiana, I’ve noticed I buy a lot less black and a lot more in the way of earth toned palettes. And I like it. It suits who I am now. (Don’t worry, I’m still crazy about brights as evidenced in today’s post).
So this long ramble on of a blog post is just to say - you can look good and feel great even in something comfortable. Or something that looks effortless. You don’t have to be wearing the newest trend everyday. Even if you’re a fashion blogger.
And on that note.. Check out my ups!
