Why:
When I worked in the fashion industry, we’d be designing clothing and seeing samples about 9 months to a year before they’d hit store shelves. It was easy to get ahead of ourselves and always move on to what’s next (or what’s next year).  Now that I’m not part of the production wheel anymore, I still find the same thing happening after fashion week.  For example - lots of awesome red and orange and colorblocking last February, which inspired a lot of my late winter/early spring looks.  Now the calendar is catching up again and those awesome colors are coming back in editorials in all of the September issues. Color me re-inspired!

These two vintage pieces are slightly modified (blouse gathered in the back and pinned for a tailored fit, skirt hemmed) and I love how they clash work together. I almost got rid of the blouse with my big closet clean out last weekend, but luckily, there’s still a huge pile by the door on it’s way to the donation center. Procrastination finally pays off!!
