A Wedding!

Why:
This Saturday was the wedding of our dear friends Jeff and Erica, who we’ve been very close with since our return back to the Midwest.  I initially thought I’d wear my hair down, but the temperature was near 100 degrees, so I went with it up instead.  I’m the kind of guest that gets down on the dance floor and by the time we left it felt like we’d had a full workout at the gym… so I’m glad I did the updo!  

This dress might look familiar to some of you - I wore in just a week or so ago to my Chicago book event.  But pretty dresses like this deserve more than to get shoved to the back of the closet.  I also knew that the bridesmaids were in black cocktail dresses, so a subtle color was a must for me (surprisingly, shades of purple were the color of the night for guests! So many girls (and guys) in everything from lavender to violet!)

The entire night was beautiful! We are so happy for the newly married couple!
