WhatIWore: Time flies when you’re having fun, right? Well, I feel like I’ve been on fast forward since last May when I first announced I’d be writing and illustrating a book. Now, we’re just four weeks away (July 5th!!). On Thursday I received a final copy - it was the first time I had seen the bound book in color. It’s amazing! I love it!! You will love it too!!
Here’s a first peek at some of my favorite spreads.
If you’re interested in pre-ordering at a significant discount, here’s where to do it!
WhatIWore: I’ve been REALLY hard at work on the book in the past month and a half! I’m making great progress and am about halfway through the illustrations and writing. I thought you guys like like a sneak peek at the raw illustrations. Right now I have them all tacked up over my desk… sometimes I feel like I have so much work left but seeing all of the sketches definitely gives me a sense of progress.
What do you think?
WhatIWore: Well, here’s the news I’ve been waiting to share with all of you!!
I will be writing my first book, What I Wore: Four Seasons, One Closet, Endless Recipes for Personal Style!!
It will be full color illustrations along with practical, month to month, day to day advice on how to make the most of your wardrobe, how to be a smarter shopper and how to get dressed for all sorts of random situations.
The book was acquired by Jill Schwartzman for Ballantine Trade Paperbacks (a division of Random House Publishing Group).
Big thank you to my agent Deborah and to Adam for his unending support. And to all of my awesome, encouraging What I Wore readers. Thank you!
