WhatIWore: This morning I did a thrift trip to Beacon’s Closet with The Glamourai and also stopped by the Brooklyn Flea on my way home (for the brooch and clip ons!) I’m pretty happy with the loot!

WhatIWore: Last week while wandering around through Park Slope, Brooklyn, I happened to find a super cute new little vintage store called Odd Twin Trading Company. I loved everything about the aesthetic of the store. The prices are good for vintage- its not bare bones bargain hunting by any means, but also not over priced antiques. I saw lots of great jumpers, mens western shirts, jackets, dresses and shoes.

Why:
First off, the more I wear heels, the harder it is for me to go back to flats. I feel like a sky scraper today! Also excited to wear a shirt fresh from the cleaners, paired with something *new* from my closet. This is a skirt I wore a lot last year as a knee length number, but as you can see, I’ve hemmed it up quite a bit. I love short skirts and tights together! Instead of being all black and sort of boring, the tights I’m wearing are a dark charcoal and ribbed. Actually, they’re leggings, which are my new faves. The shoes are my new classic and at the rate I’ve been wearing them, they’ll be perfectly broken in (…soon I hope).
I’m wearing my mom’s charm bracelet from when she was my age. My dad’s college is on there, her high school banner, an artist palette, an ancient Disney pin, a globe… I’ve added a thimble and a DG charm. Its such a great piece.

Was a big early bird this morning and did tons of running around, so by the time I needed to get dressed, I just wanted something easy. Clothes in the front of the closet (like these shorts and top) were just right. And it got sort of hot all of a sudden. But now I’m exhausted and need a nap before I spend the rest of the day working.
