Office, Field trip to NJ
Why:
Today I’m going on a little field trip to check out whats going on in the market and to some of our retailers. I knew I needed to be comfortable, wearing flat shoes and nothing too ‘out there’. I’m also excited to bring along my new Day Camp bag from the 60s (bought this weekend for $5 at Brooklyn Flea). Let’s get inspired!!
What I Wore: Love Story

WhatIWore:
When:
October 6, 2008
What:
Blouse: Etsy
Jacket: Target
Belt: Lucky (free from work)
Skirt: H&M
Tights: We Love Colors
Shoes: E-bay
Bracelet: Mom’s
Where:
Work
Why:
Today I am totally digging on the Love Story vibe. My new wool blend short peacoat (from Target!) was the starting point as well as the plaid shirt. Not sure if I would wear these dark rust tights again, maybe navy or something a little more subdude next time. I definitely felt like a school girl on my way to work, but I like the brights. Accessory wise, just mom’s old charm bracelet. All in all, a nice, crisp, fall day to be in love.
Found it! Navy Peacoat

WhatIWore:Shopping
Back in August, I posted about Love Story inspired fashion and added a navy peacoat to my fall wish list. Originally, I wanted an actual military peacoat, but found they are really made more for function than flattery. Today, I found THIS amazing shortened navy peacoat at Target. Bonus- found out it was on sale (at the register) for $35. Will be a great piece for autumn layering.
What I Wore: Getting Snuggly

WhatIWore:
When:
October 2, 2008
What:
Shades: HK
Cardigan: Zara
Self: Jessica Schroeder Designs (ha!)
Belt: Lucky (free from work)
Tights: Target
Boots: Banana
Scarf: thrifted
Where:
Work
Why:
Today I’m putting together a bunch of colors that usually work as neutrals to other outfits— navy, gray, and brown. It was chillier than it has been this morning, so I felt like a warm and snuggly fall outfit. The dress is a heavy jersey (I made it last winter) and the tights are fuzzy and ribbed. The cardigan is enough to be warm, but not hot to make me sweaty on the walk to the subway. These boots are longing to be loved- so, here they are.

WhatIWore:

What:
Shades: Warhol Museum
Blouse: American Eagle
Jeans: Acne (thrifted)
Boots: Banana
Bag: Hong Kong
Ring: Mom’s
Where:

Why:
As we all know, more times than not, living life and being in the moment are much more than what we’re wearing. Today was especially the case for me, wishing someone very important to me a bon voyage. So that means— what’s hanging in the closet, clean and easy to throw on? That’s the outfit I have on today. Jeans, blouse and boots for a no fuss no muss look.
What I Wore: September 29, 2008

WhatIWore:
When:
September 29, 2008
What:
Shades: Warhol Museum
Necklace: Macys?
Edie Sedgwick Tee: Warhol Museum
Skirt: vintage, thrifted and hemmed
Tights: We Love Colors
Flats: Target
Where:
Work and Lunch in the Park
Why:
This weekend I did a roadtrip to Pittsburgh, PA for a wedding, but made some time to visit The Warhol Museum featuring over 500 pieces of the artist’s work. I’m not a fan of cheesey souvenirs, but musuem shops are better than the rest. I couldn’t help picking up these “Jackie” shades, Edie Sedgwick screen printed tee, a book and a magnet. A short skirt and flats add to the 60s vibe. And reddish orange tights? Why not!
