Before I jump into my massive (I mean massive!) vacation recap, I have another MNG by MANGO Mission challenge to post.

In my mind, Bloomington and Indiana University are synonymous. You can’t have IU without Bloomington and you can’t have Bloomington without IU. I chose the Sample Gates on the West side of campus as my hometown landmark. And with my alma mater and a crisp fall morning in mind, I wanted to go with a vintage college student look. Also, I have a new backpack. (I’m obsessed!!!)
This morning I told Adam that I felt like a kid on the first day of school. Newish outfit, new book bag, the smell of fall in the air and campus. It felt good. I always loved school so putting together this kind of outfit is such fun.
Of course, when I have a 1950s style outfit in mind, I’m going to do pin curls, which take a little forethought. They’re a little more crinkled than I wanted (meaning there are some kinks where I was sloppy with my bobby pinning) but I think I can fix that by doing larger curls next time.
This post is timely for me especially because it was this week last year that Adam and I packed up our Brooklyn apartment and drove 12+ hours to settle down in Indiana. I feel like it was yesterday! What a wonderful, wonderful year!
