ZOMG! Do you see those little flecks of snow? I hope you can feel my utter disgust! In like a lion, not out like a lion, March! Get with the program.
I played with a couple of different variations on how to style this dress this morning. First I did a yellow coat/pink tights a la Kate Spade, but it just felt too much. Instead I went for something a little more color neutral. And these tights.
Have you ever heard anyone describe a mullet as business in the front, party in the back? Can we call these mullet tights then? Because from the front it’s all class and then I’m totally throwing you off with the side view! Mwhaha! How’s that for a twist?!
UPDATE: You guys REALLY wanted to know the brand name of this dress, so I checked and it’s STUDIO I! Hope that helps!

I am absolutely spoiled with the beautiful weather we have here in southern Indiana. Yesterday it was actually so warm that inside the studio was a bit hot (it’s usually freezing in here), so I knew today would be perfect to wear this pretty sleeveless yellow blouse. I have a serious thing for little accordion pleats lately, and this top kind of reminds me of an Elizabethan ruff.
To balance the cut of the blouse, I paired it with a long, skinny leg jean. Ta da!

I got this dress during the mega 70% off sale at ModCloth, because I thought it would be something that would transition nicely from these last sartorially confusing weeks of winter into spring (worn now with tights, worn later with bare legs and sandals). You’re seeing this leather jacket on WIW a lot lately, but I really wanted something to make this dress look more evil. Ok, evil is not the right word, maybe just dark. Your sweet girl is GONE!!!!
Kidding.
