WhatIWore: Not too long ago I found some great doilies at the flea market. Immediately I thought they’d make a great addition to a basic wife beater tank top. So here’s the final product.
Off I go for a very big day. I usually stray away from writing about personal experiences too much on What I Wore, but this has something to do with it. Ahh!! I am so happy!!

WhatIWore:
When:
April 29, 2009
What:
Green Mexican Embroidered Dress: thrifted and re-made
White Jean Jacket: Express (10 years old!)
Belt: vintage, Poor Little Rich Girl
Scarf: mysterious, no idea
Sandals: Target
Where:
Flight from JFK to LAX and then out and about in sunny LA!
Why:
I took a lot of things into consideration on packing for this trip. I got a lot of feedback from you guys on whether I should dress like I always do or take a little more laid back approach while visiting the West Coast. I’m leaning towards the Bohemian side, but really, they’re all my clothes so I don’t feel like I’m becoming someone I’m not. It doesn’t feel right to look like a New Yorker in LA. This is vacation land for me, even if I happen to be working while I’m here. So this is what I went for: the green dress is one of my favorites, the jean jacket is to keep me warm and the scarf serves the same purpose. I felt great in this all day!
