WhatIWore: Now that I’ve shared my happy news, I feel so much more comfortable digging into the maternity pieces I’ve picked up over the past few weeks. Truth be told, my baby bump is still pretty tiny and I feel a little in limbo between looking pregnant and looking like I had a big burrito for lunch.
WhatIWore: In honor of the sun shining and our awesome forecast for the next couple of days, I’m officially moving in my spring closet! I’ll still keep some transition pieces out (like this light gray wool coat), but pastels, neons and florals are calling my name! I finally went ahead and bought the J.Crew top I’m wearing today after thinking about it for a while (and actually went for something in the same color that was on sale instead of my original pick). WhatIWore: Inspired by my Retro Sneaker board, I decided to give the look a try for myself! One key element that made it work for me: Keep it sporty overall. I tried a few different everyday blouses and jackets but they looked disconnected. It’s also key to go with a fitted pant instead of something baggy, like sweats. I like a ponte knit pant which is much thicker knit than a workout legging and a little more dressed up. Aim to balance proportions with a longer top or puffy coat!
