Cardigan: Zara
Jeans: TRF, free from work

Shoes: Target

Where:

Why:

Cause I was running hella late this morning and its cold out!! Why did I pack up all of my warm winter hats?? When is spring really going to arrive? These are the questions I ponder instead of picking out something decent to wear. Whatever. Its casual and cute. And the cardigan’s new and I love wearing new clothes.

When:

March 13, 2009

What:

Anchor Necklace: Elma Blint
Cardigan: Overdyed J.Crew, thrifted
Dress: thrifted and hemmed
Belt: Flea Market
Bracelets: Beacon’s closet
Tights?
Boots: vintage, thrifted

Where:

Work

Why:

Looking for comfort but not jeans (they are all at the laundromat!). I love how this look feels so new, yet winteresque at the same time. Also! Its Friday and sunny and tomorrow I am bouncing to the West Coast (southern Cali!) for a few days. Going to take advantage of the weather and mix up some great stuff for WIW. Woo!!

When:

March 11, 2009

What:

T-neck: Zara
Scarf: vintage, thrifted
Skirt: vintage, thrifted
Tights: ??
Boots: gifted, Nine West

Where:

Work, meetings

Why:

I just want to get the most out of some of my winter pieces. I’m already over the heavy plaid skirts, but this bright violet feels right as we approach the last week of winter. And I’ve felt chilly lately too, so a t-neck is just right. This is the third time I’ve put together this same outfit, but something about it just works for me. Its not in my all time favorites category, but it is great for a “nothing to wear” moment. Now that I’m looking at this, with the beret, I look kind beanik/young commie circa 1964.

When:

February 24, 2009

What:

Sweater: gift from Peru
Belt: Target
Jeans: free from work, Arden B
Boots: Banana
Thermal: sample, free from work

Where:

Work + Afternoon/Early evening tea

Why:

Brr. Woke up pretty cold this morning and knew some thigh high socks + Jeans + thermal + sweater were in order. Today is more utility than statement, but hey! I’m ok with that. Life is no runway people! You gotta have the looks between shows. On a side note, I sort of love how I’m a triplet in this photo… conjuring the Parent Trap here ;)

WhatIWore:

When:

November 10, 2008

What:

Dress: vintage, thrifted from London
Cardigan: Hollister
Belt: vintage, thrifted
Tights: Hue
Shoes: E-bay
Coat: vintage, thrifted, Goodwill (FW, IN)

Where:

The Office

Why:

Once again, I’m trying to make the most of what I have. Instead of pouting and feeling like I have nothing. This is a great dress I picked up while thrifting in London. It’s from the sixties and has such a mod feel to it. I wanted to make it a little more modern and long, so I added the cardigan and belt. Sometimes I’m a little hesitant to pair burgundy with dark brown, but I like how this outfit is so warm and cozy in fall colored shades.
