Sweater: J. Crew Sample via Beacon’s Closet
Chambray: Lucky Brand
Pants: c/o J. Brand
Shoes: Jeffery Campbell c/o ModCloth (2010)
Where:
Brunch at the Uptown Cafe
Why:
Saturday mornings are about as low key as it gets for me (minus hiking in the woods, which I’ve been doing a lot of lately!) Instead of going for the earthy palette I’m typically drawn to on weekends of browns, olives and denim, I went with bright yet cozy pieces. I love how pink, orange and navy work together. And I’m so happy to bring out my favorite peacoat for fall!

Why:
Hello, Spring! You look lovely! It’s going to be something like 60 degrees today in Bloomington, and like any crazy getting overly excited about the weather, I’m going with bare legs.
I’m so happy I hemmed this skirt. It feels so modern and timeless now… like something you could no doubt pick up at J.Crew and wear for ages. The color will probably come and go in and out of style, but I love having such a nice piece in my closet for $4 plus the time to hem (half hour or less).
As for this outfit… well… I had a little trouble getting out of the house this morning. I have yet to pack up my Winter stuff and get out my Spring/Summer stuff and that stifles me a bit. Instead of resorting to jeans another day in a row, I pulled out this skirt, switcho-chango’d a couple of blouses, settled on a basic button up + scarf + trench + lipstick = good to go.
