WhatIWore: I’ve had a long time love for black and white polka dots. The other day I spotted the cute cut out sundress (No. 4, above) I asked my intern Maria to compose an entire board full of dots. I love her selections!

WhatIWore: I LOVE yellow for summer and this season canary yellow has caught my eye. I asked my intern Chrissy to take the color and run with it! Here are her pretty picks! (I need that gingham!!!!) To pair: wear with navy, neutral tones, chambray or white!
WhatIWore: This is a guest post from my intern extraordinaire, Sheri. She’ll be moving on to Refinery 29 this summer in NYC, so I’m currently looking for a Bloomington based intern over the summer. Should have strong graphic design/social media skills. Please e-mail whatiworeblog at gmail to apply.
This past wednesday the temperature reached 80 degrees in Bloomington and as a result my spring fever has now hit 110. My fellow Hoosiers fully embraced the tropical climate by breaking out their bright summer clothes, and one thing’s for certain, coral was the color of choice.
Whether it was denim, a blouse, or great handbag, it appears students unanimously agree that the cheery color is definitely worth investing in for spring. This past weekend I made my first coral purchase after falling in love with a sheer sleeveless collared shirt from Nordstrom. The shirt has even passed “the roommate test,” meaning each one of my roommates has borrowed and fallen in love with it within the past week! Just tie the waist, throw on a pair of cropped jeans and you’re ready to go to biology or your sidewalk cafe! I especially like the way the color pops when paired with sea foam, like in the flannel shirt and earrings above.
So embrace the heat wave and get your spring on! I promise coral is an investment in your summer wardrobe you won’t regret!
