WhatIWore: For the first time ever, Beacon’s Closet bought my entire bag of trade ins which resulted in a little retail therapy for mama. I bought a TOCCA purple appliqued skirt, funky 80s necklace and two new pair of tight (cause I don’t have enough… right?)

WhatIWore: Today I went shopping all over Fort Wayne with my mom. We had a tip to check out a store on Calhoun Street so we did a little Google action and ended up at an old furniture store. Woops. They did have some of these LOOK magazines from the 1960s so I picked up this one with the Kennedy’s on the cover. Major fuel for my Mad Men obsession.
Just a block down the street was a huge emporium of wonderful stuff. Loads of costume jewelry, old hats, dishes and other antiques. My loot? A gold-black-cream cut and sew dress and matching coat. I’ve got a pair of crocheted moto gloves and oxford booties that are going to make this prime for a three martini lunch in the city. Don?

WhatIWore: This morning I did a thrift trip to Beacon’s Closet with The Glamourai and also stopped by the Brooklyn Flea on my way home (for the brooch and clip ons!) I’m pretty happy with the loot!

With all of my recent love for Tennessee, I don’t want y’all to forget I’m a Hoosier girl through and through. Although these buttons weren’t the best “bargain” ($5 a piece), I still thought they were cute. One for the Big Red and another to remind me of my old days at the Legion Auxillary’s Girl’s State.
Best of all, I think they’ll look sort of precious and school girl on that navy peacoat I’m trying to track down.
